Default Trophy Taker operated by cable slide?

Just wondering if anyone has used your bows cable slide to activate a Trophy Taker drop-away rest. Setting up the rest by attaching it to the harness is a little meticulous. I switched to Winner' s Choice strings this year and had to serve the rest' s cord to the side of the buss cable rather than inserting it through. I wasn' t too wild about that set-up.

Thanks,

Tyler

I' ve seen many people put in on their cable slide. It works great as long as you have enough cable slide travel. An example: my Bowtech Patriot has only about 5/8" to 3/4" travel, NOT ENough! Most bows works fine though.

Good Luck!

I have a Bowtech slide on my Pro40 and it has a hole for the lanyard and it works great. I' d use a teflon unit if it wasn' t for that. The BT slide hasn' t harmed my cables at all so all is well.

As C-9 mentioned, on some of the VFT style bows (Patriot, ExVFT, etc) you will have problems using the cable slide attachment, you will need to attach to the cable itself.

I have it on my BowTech VFT with the cabe slide, and have had NO problems with it,and there are several guy' s shooting it the same way on there Patriots, and again have had No problems, you just have to shorten the cable on the rest until it comes up all the way.

JeramyK, I currently shoot the TT on my 02 patriot and it works well. I have the string from the TT served into my cable. I am not sure it the cable slide attatchment will give enough travel. JMHO

I' ve been using the NAP 4000s since they came out with no problems. On my Pat Dually I used the NAP slide with the cable. On my P40 Dually I used the BowTech slide with a piece of loop rope. In the future I' ll use the BowTech slide & rope. BTW, I also had this rest on my 02 Pat & still have one on my 01 Mighty Mite.

Thanks for the info.

I just put a GK Infinity rest on my Patriot so I' m going to stick with that. I' ll probably look into the TT when the time comes to move to a 04 bow.
