Default Advantage of wrist sling?....

I have recently discovered that a loose grip my groups are tighter and more accurate. So now I would like to get a wrist sling. How am I supposed to use it? Do I fire then let the bow be caught on my wrist by the sling? Also what sling would you recommend? Thanks everyone.

I' ll be interested to see the answers to your question. I just installed a Neet brand sling on my bow. My reason for doing so was to, hopefully, prevent me from dropping my prized possession. I am a little more comfortable when shooting with it, knowing I am not likely to drop the bow....I might throw it, but I won' t drop it.

I got my sling after my bow " jumped" couple of times from my hand and landed on the ground, some " pro" guys on the range complemented me on relaxed form, and mastering surprise release. I' ve been shooting with a sling for almost a year and I didn' t really feel that I needed it anymore, but when I took it off to change stabilazer and shot few arrows I almost drop my bow again. It' s funny I don' t feel the sling doing anything for me, but when I take it off, the bow jumps or I grab it subconciously often causing torq effect.
That from my 8 months experience of shooting bow

I put my sling on so it just rest on my wrist. I shoot with my hand wide open. When the release lets go of my string the bow is only supported by the sling and the web of my tumb and fore finger.
Same here.
