Nikon Laser 400 problems.

I have a Nikon " BuckMasters" laser 400 range finder that eats batteries like wild. [:@] Anyone else have this problem? Know of a fix? Those batteries are expensive. If I leave the battery in the unit over night, I have to replace it the next day. And no, the power is not on. I make sure its off. Anyway it shuts itself off after a couple minutes.

Any suggestions?[&:]

There is something wrong with the range finder. Send it back to Nikon, bad timing, I know but it has a problem. I have had mine for a year and a half and am still on the original battery.

Yeah, you gotta return it. There is a short somewhere in it that drains the battery.

Had mine since the beginning of the year, I put a half used battery in it from the camera, it' s still going strong.
