Default SERVING WEAR

If use a trigger release with no rollers or ball bearings on the tips of the jaws, what kind of wear am I looking at on the serving on a brand new string and after about how many shots can I get off before my serving unravels?

Default RE: SERVING WEAR

I shoot a Scott Mongoose release (no rollers). I shot the entire 3D season without reserving. How many?.....I was 8000 to 10000. But, it depends on how smooth you release is, and if you have braided center serving. The braided center serving will show wear before it lets go, the mono will not and usually doesn' t last as long.

My serving has lasted two and a half years. All my friends shoot right of the string with no wear.

I have been shooting my Fletch hunter for years direct on the servings. It never gave me any wear to be affraid about. My servings (braided) hold longer than the strings.
