Default Ordering strings for Hoyt bows w/ dual track idler

I' m ordering Winner' s Choice strings for my Hoyt HavocTec. Mainly because I need a new string and we' re 3 days into bow season here in PA, I really don' t want to lose a week of hunting breaking in a new string.

I was in the process of ordering when I noticed that aside from the normal string and buss cable, the dual track bows have the second control cable. How do I order this? Does this mean an additional $40 for a 36" string?

Default RE: Ordering strings for Hoyt bows w/ dual track idler

Hi PABeardbuster,
I also have a 2002 Hoyt HavocTec and had the same question a couple of weeks ago. Here is the e-mail I sent to Winners Choice and the reply I recieved 15 minutes later !!! from Mike Slinkard the V.P. of W.C.:

Chad,

We recommend the one piece split cable. The reason for this
recommendation
is that the wear point created by the intersection of the 2 pieces will
take
about 1/3rd the life span of the cable. Also, the floating yolk can be
moved
inadvertently, causing temporary accuracy problems. The single piece
cable
can be adjusted for perfect wheel alignment, and will not move. Also we
cannot use X-Coat on the 2 piece cables for adjustment reasons. If you
do
prefer the 2 piece cable, we can certainly build one for you. I just
wanted
to let you know why we recommend the 1 piece style. The price for the
string
for your bow is $35.00, the non-split control cable is $30.00, and the
1
piece split buss cable is $40.00. The 2 piece split cable is $50.00
should
you decide to go this way. These prices are for our standard green/tan
camo
in 8125 material. Custom colors or material add $5.00 per piece. We
accept
Visa and Master Card. You may also find our products for less in
archery
retailers who carry our products. Please see our website for a list of
dealers in your area. Thank You for the interest in Winner' s Choice
products. Please contact me further if you need more information.

Sincerely,

Mike Slinkard,
V.P. Winner' s Choice

I ordered the 3 strings/cables on a monday and had them in my mailbox friday with the cheaper USPS Prority mail shipping!!!! I am a W.C. customer from now on.
Hope this info helps you out. Good luck PABeardBuster,
chad
