I' ve got a high country 4 runner I bought last year and this morning my stabilzer fell off. The threads were completly stripped out. I' m going to use a heli-coil to repair it unless someone has a better idea. Thanks ahead of time.
I have used the epoxy based stuff in the past as well as helicoils. My suggestion would be to use the helicoil. It is about as close to the original thread strength as you are likely to get
98 thats what I' m thinking, but I didn' t know about the carbon riser. I have emailed HC to see what they think. I have used heli-coils in many diferent applications and most of the time they are as strong if not stronger. Thanks for the input.
are they completely stripped?? if there nt completely stripped see if you can find someone with a tap and die and run a tap thru it , only the first couple thread might be shot , and a tap will fix em up like new , if the threads are totally stripped out then use the helicoil , good luck !
