Default limb saver problem

i was shooting tonight and after about my 20 shot i heard the bow make a wierd noise check the limb and the limb saver rubber broke of just before they glue it on the mounts has this happen to anybody else?????? or was it just a dudd???

just a dudd, i have limb savers on my old bow for four years ,never had a problem!

I would have to agree that its a dudd as long as you know that nothing had caught and pulled on it or nicked it in any way before you started shooting...

I have had some limb savers detatch before also. I called Sims and sent it in for a free replacement.

It all depends how close you mount them to your cables. If you mount them close enough that they get slapped every shot (which I do for maximum quietness) they wont last as long. I lost one a couple weeks ago , but the good news is that super glue adheres nicely to the rubber.

I had one come off a few months ago. And someone on this board suggested glueing them back onto the base with super glue. I did that but when I went to put them back on my bow (I have the split limb savers) I managed to strip the threads, so I had to buy a new set. So I never got a chance to see if they would hold up. It seems to me that glueing them back onto the base would work.
