baked- The first thing I would do is spin check your Snuffers to be sure they are rotating without wobble. If your rest is properly tuned your broadheads will hit exactly the same POI as your fieldtips. When I am getting close I must shoot my BH first then my FT or I risk slicing off my fletching with the BH.
But in order to get to that point you have to have BHs that are spinning true. Otherwise you are just wasting you time. I have 1/2 doz or more of those big old Snuffers down in my archery cabinet. I forget even what weight they are. But they are a nasty looking BH. A bugger to sharpen too as I recall.
There may also be a slight difference in your FOC% but you should still get very close to identical flight. If you read the first two sticky posts in this forum and follow the instructions given or read the Easton tuning guide (do a google search) you have your bow tuned to where you will no longer have to "adjust your sights for broadheads"!

ahhhh, what i got werkz great. i can hit a flea off a cats azz at 45 yards. they are 125g bh's, and probably the easiest of all bh to sharpen, as you just rub them flat on a piece of wet sand paper.
i quit usin ft's along time ago, as the snuffers are tough and last forever.besides, practice with what you plan on hunting with is our policy..
i dont understand how you would think a field tip would fly the same way a broad head would, when the aerodynamics ares totally different. just doesnt make sense. its like sayin a minivan is gonna have the same aerodynamics as a porche?

Obviously there is no changing you mind even if you are not correct in your assumptions. Yes you are right the aerodynamics are different but you can tune your bow so the FT and BH will his same POI regardless of range. I could prove it to you if I were to video me shooting but there are enough videos on youtube if you are willing to look.
Or you can keep your same mindset and do what you think is best.

i asked you stupid questions so maybe you would research a little bit to see how wrong you are, but obviously you just prefer to talk out th side of your neck
If this were so true.....tell me why some bh manufactures send practice tips with the bh?
lol @ keep the mindset!! yer full of it..i tried to be nice, and you wanna act godly? lets be real...it IS aerodynamically immpossible to get the same flight results from a fixed bh to a ft!!! you might wanna be mr.knowitall, but you aint, so quit playin the part.

Baked - I did try to be nice. Also, I am not Mr. Knowitall as you put it. I too am still learning things everyday. But You are definately wrong in your assumptions. And I am sure most bowmen on here would agree with me. I can shoot a FT a mechanical BH and a fixed blade BH out of my bows and, provided they are all the same weight, they will shoot to the same POI.
I am sorry that you do not believe that. But so be it. You go ahead and live your own life and be happy. You don't even have the desire to look at videos to prove I am correct. And the reason that manf. send practice heads is so you CAN tune your rest so the FT and BH hit same POI without damaging/dulling blades. And in the case of mechanical heads - the practice blades do not deploy. Not so you can 'sight in with them".
Do me a favor and read the first thread in this forum "DON'T STOP AT WALKBACK". Maybe you can gain a bit of knowledge on this topic.
Would someone else in here please chime in so we can help straighten old Halfbaked out!

EXATLY Buddy - and if you read a little further the minor adjustments are to be made to your rest. AND WHY? TO HAVE YOUR BH AND FT HITTING SAME POI.
The only reason you will have to adjust your sights is to compensate for you adjusting your rest. Please comprehend what you read. I am only trying to make life easier for the originator of this thread AND for you if you would be willing to just try it and not be so darn stubborn.

why would you need to make an adjustment ...to adjust the sights from ft to bh..read the effin post fer christ sake! you might never figure it out.
