Default What would you like to see on outdoor TV shows?

Rocky Mountain Outdoor Adventures is looking for television show idea' s, if you have some idea' s besides the typical Billy Bob private games hunts, and or fishing on private lakes, I would like to hear what you have to say!

No idea is to small, examples, handgun hunting for big game, how to find a game trail, Has there been a show, and you have thought, why don' t they show this, or do that?

This show will appear nationally next year and we are putting show segments together for the 3 and 4 quarter, so if you have hunting, fishing, camping, ATV idea' s, or even break it down even more..reloading, bow hunting tech, any idea, will be looked at by our production staff, e-mail those idea' s to:

I' d like to see more reality t.v. in the hunting shows! Why not have Joe Hunter climb 20 feet up in his climber , pull his bow up , get settled in , then zoom the audio in close enough so the audience can hear his innards start to rumble , zoom the video in close to his face to show that disgusted look as he grabs his toilet paper and begins to climb back down.
Keep it real! I enjoy seeing the blunders as much as the trophy kills!

I' d like to SEE " Buck Fever" !
Hook the hunter (bow hunting would be the OBVIOUS choice) to an EKG. Show his blood preasure, breath, and heart rate when " THE BUCK" showes up. Would be easy to do (have done it for racers and other stuff), and sweet to watch the before, during and after.
Hell, hook it up to Stan Pots, and you might set a new record for EKG readings!!!
For the smaller wish...complete bow/arrow/broadhead set-up for the hunter being shown. I CAN' T be the ONLY guy straining to see what broadhead he is using on what bow etc.etc.

I' d like to see hunters using traditional and even primitive equipment for a change. There are lots of stickbows shooters but very little exposure. I' d bet a lot of folks would be interested in watching a guy with a selfbow going after a deer with an obsidian pointed arrow.

I' d like to see a show, doubt you could make a series out of it, but a show on tracking.
One of the worst things that can happen to a bowhunter is losing game, and it happens a good bit to bowhunters unfortunately. A good program or couple on tracking, following blood, reading hair, shot placement, etc would be nice.
Even a show on just tracking deer movements, trails, rubs, where to put stands, etc.
Not everyone gets to hunt on a game farm or ranch, it would be interesting to see people hunt on public land like state game lands here in PA, or state lands in whatever state they are in.

I would also like to see more real hunting(public land etc.)......also, don' t just start the show by having the person sitting in the stand. Give a little information or show why that stand is put where it is. Kinda like they do on the Buckmasters show. Also, give the equipment that people are using, stuff like that is good information.

Like most others I' d like to see Joe Hunter hunting on public land instead of privately managed game farms/ranches with a guide. Anyone can shoot a world class buck or trophy class fish from a private ranch or lake that has been managed for this for years. I' d also like a break down of the gear used, not just the bow but also the rest , stabalizer, peep, etc.. Also I' d like to see some of the tracking, stand set up, helpful hints, stand location choices and why etc... I know it' s T.V. but fewer commercials within the show. It' s annoying when Joe Hunter shoots a really big buck and credits company X product for his success when he' s hunting on a private game ranch filled with more game than most will see in a lifetime.

Drury(however u spell it) outdoors! All real hunting now private managed stuff, thats the way to go. I enjoy watching hunts where not every deer shot is a 150+ class buck but the reality of shooting sixers forks and even spike. Although most hunters dont shoot them on their land for buck managment, its nice to see. I know when i go otu i shoot the 1st buck i have an opportunity at, i dont wait for that monster... otherwise ide still be waiting [:-]. Also, how bout some small game hunting? The lost art of squirrel hunting. Bow fishing? What not to do' s. I know even the best hunter will have unfortunate times and lose/wound animals, its gunna happen show some reality throw some long tracks that end up elusive and the deer doesnt get found. Show people how to fix that, show the shot in slow motion show how it is wrong and what could have been done. Show blood trails, splatters and help people indentify blood types. Make a show that not only is enjoyable to watch, but teaches the watcher a valuable lesson. Free lessons and a great show to watch? Cmon now who could ask for more?

Hope i could be of some help... let me know what u think of my ideas

wolf and hunt to kill are right on track. I would also like to see much more Public land deer hunts and tips. Also it bothers me when I am watching a show, " joe hunter" shoots a buck goes to retrieve it then says. Man I didnt see this broken tine or it had ground shrinkage I thought it was much better. I would just like to see more realistic hunting programs not realtree monster bucks 128 volume II.

Real bow hunting shows not canned hunts, show the shot and the drop of the animal deer of course. Tell and show equipment used, bow , arrow ,broadhead
draw weight, arrow weight ,broadhead weight, maybe even ke, that way if the
deer goes down fast I might want to change some of my equipment, if it doesnt
I might not want some of that equipment, depending on shot placment of course.
