hey guys i got another question. i was looking in the 2003 cabelas archery catalog and i saw the T.R.U. accelerator balls. it says that they can speed up your bow up to 12 f.p.s. more. i was wondering if this was true and if they were worth getting. it also says u have to move the balls up and down your string to get the best results. how would u find the best spot on the string? im wondering about all of this because my bow only goes 196 f.p.s. and i cant afford to spend to much on something else. any help would be appreciated. thanks.
I have accelerator balls on a few of my bows, and the most speed gain I ever got from them was 5fps. Sometimes less. I know guys who claim to have gotten more, but I never have.
You can get the same results by putting 3 large brass nocks top and bottom. The only drawback to them is they are harder to move up and down looking for the best spot.
I normally get 5-8 fps. The balls ARE a LOT easier to move. Worth $10??? I' ll let you decide...I got some on my bow, and there are not comming off (It' s like free speed)
I have used eliminator buttons on my last few bows and on bows I have set up for friends. I you don' t have a bow press the tru balls will work. I usually find 3-5 fps gain.
