Default New rubber bands for broadheads

Hello everyone.

I shoot expandable broadheads and would like to replace the rubberbands that keep them closed before the season starts (just being anal).

Does anyone know where I can find some. These buggers are little.

Thank you

BINGO !!!! your lucky day and finally a question I can answer with assuredness !

Go to an orthodontist and ask about getting some of the rubber bands that people use for their braces. I asked and got about 200 bands for free and they are very small and the perfect size for the mechanicals.

mordecaia is right. I have braces and I got some of them rubber bands, but I never thought about using them for broadheads. Thanks for the idea mordecaia.

Try shooting your mechanicals with the " braces" rubber bands installed before hunting with them.
I tried them on some shockwaves and they allowed the blades to open in flight and hit the target face already opened. (new target, could see the blade triangle).
The stock bands didn' t do this. I even tried them around the blade like a normal mechanical, same difference.
I do however use them on my sidewinders and snypers.

I don' t know if they come in different strengths or not, but check them before you hunt with them.

If your heads came with o-rings you might need to use 2 of the little rubber bands instead of just one. Or run down to the hardware store with one of your old o-rings and buy a box that size.
