I just put a new set of winners choice cables and a string on my new mathews LX. My bow with the factory string bottomed out at 72 pounds. With this new string and cable it is now on 68 pounds. My question is if 68 pounds is exactly what I want to be shooting and the bottom cam is still in the optimum position with the two holes parallel with the shooting string should I just go with it? I was told that mathews bows, or most bows in fact shoot more efficient this way. I know I can probably get the poundage back up by adding a few twists to the cables. What do you all suggest? Thanks to you all, and good huntin" . Bhunter32.

Shoot it! If you REALLY think there is a problem, you can ALWAYS add twists. I would say you are good to go....make sure you re-check your poundage after breaking the strings in (100 rounds or so)
Measure your ATA and brace height. LX' s are 35 3/4" ATA. If your ATA,brace height, cam timing ,and draw length are correct .......shoot it ! I just went through a tuning nightmare with my Zebra string stretching[:' (]. I remember asking why you wanted the WC..........guess what I' ll be buying after this season is over !! []
If you are comfortable with the draw weight and do not intend on cranking it up, I would leave it. If you decide to add some twists I would do it now. With the hunting season around the corner I would not want to be changing somthing that may affect your tuning.
