Default AM I ACTUALLY GETTING 65% LET-OFF?

I ask this because my LEGACY has a 70% let-off but is still P&Y legal--how can this be?

It is the way let off is measured. I think this is explained on the FAQ on the Mathews website.
Mathews measures the amount of hysterisis (ask someone else) and the way P&Y measures let off does not take in to account hysterisis. Therefore what P&Y measures , your effective let off is 65 % .

It' s yet another example of how manufacturers ignore their own industry standards to try and pull the wool over the uneducated consumers' eyes.

P&Y bases their letoff restriction on AMO standard or ACTUAL letoff. The manufacturers advertise EFFECTIVE letoff. (CBM is on the right track, but has his terms mixed up) Actual letoff is measured on the draw cycle, which does not include hysterisis. Effective is measured at the beginning of the letoff cycle, which does include hysterisis.

So, they' re telling the consumer he' s getting something extra when he' s really not.
