Arrow Sway

After my shot I notice the nock end of the arrow go to the left a bit, then straighten out. Is this normal? or out of tune??

There' s a problem somehwere most likely (torque)

but (this will sound crazy, but I $hi& you not) sometimes if you are shooting an arrow where all three vanes/feathers are not the same color, And you shoot with one eye closed it can give you the illusion the arrow is whipping out a tad as you open your non aiming eye at the shot. I once spent a whole day tring to tune that (percieved) problem out through paper (was getting bulletholes, but I was convinced it was whipping out at some point) and my old boss finally said try 3 fletches the same color. So I did, and he ws right..the illusion went away. The 2 very dark green feathers compared to the one white feather just made it look goofy as the arrow came out of the bow.

But chances are you have a " real" problem somewhere.

Could be torqueing but it could also be that your arrow rest is just a CLICK out... Are you a finger shooter or a release shooter?????I have noticed that with finger shooters the arrow will twist side to side but with a release this should not be...Have a buddy watch to see if you torque the bow when you shoot....I youdo notn I would think your problem may be in the arrowrest... Try it and see....GOOD LUCK....[8D]

If you' re a finger shooter, it could definately be the normal flexing of the arrow. And, if this is the case, don' t worry about it. As long as your broadheads are hitting where you want, and your arrows are grouping, what more could you ask for?

For starters an arrow that will hit its target (animal) straight and true so most of its energy is in line with the shaft ,resulting in the best penetration possible. Hit an animal with the nock kicking out to the side and penetration can be severely decreased.

And I will bet my only dollar that Fixed heads Will not group well if you can see your nock kicking out.

That' s why I said what I said. If the broadheads are grouping, then they are flying true. And, if finger shooting, no arrow flies " straight as an arrow" . They flex side to side for several feet after leaving the string.

Arrows shot with a release aid, flex up and down.
