I am confused about FOC. with 5 inch feathers my FOC is 9.7% and with 5 inch vanes it is 8.7% in your opion witch is better ? and does this really make much difference? I shoot 125 grain broadheads arrow is 29.625 from point of B.H to the nock groove. center of arrow is 14.811 and FOC is 2.125 any suggestions?

Default RE: FOC help

I don' t think 1% makes all that much difference. Since I like to be between 10 - 12% with my arrows, I' d have to say the 9.7% is better.

The higher % your FOC is, the more stable your arrow and the less any form bobbles will affect it. But also, the higher your FOC the sooner your arrow will start nosediving. That' s why I like to stay between 10 - 12%. It' s accurate and ' forgiving' without giving up too much trajectory (at least for me).
