Default Let off percentage

I searched and could not find anything on the site about this. Does a lower let off percentage make a bow shoot faster or harder at all?

On some bows it will, such as a Hoyt Ultra Elite. On a parallel limb bow it won't. If the bow is designed for 80% let off, that is where it will perform the best. The problem is most bows can achieve the designed let off in two different locations in the cam rotation. The correct location is where the draw length is correct, the second will make the draw length run long.
