Default Finally Got A Chance To Chrono The RazorTech!!

I finally got a chance to shoot my RazorTech though a Chronograph. Set at 65#' s, 30" inch draw and a 403 grain arrow it shot 280 ftps. Which equates to
70ft-lbs of KE. This is quite an improvement over my old Hoyt Striker Redline that shot 268 ftps with the same setup except for a lighter 368 grain arrow. So I gained about 20% more KE from changing to the Cam and a 1/2. I think Hoyt has found a winner.

Your numbers correspond with what I was getting out of the Razortec I owned with a similar setup. It seems like a relatively efficient system.

Default RE: Finally Got A Chance To Chrono The RazorTech!!

I' ve been getting similar numbers with my bow and it got me to wondering. How are we getting more energy out of the bow than we are putting into it?
I' ve read a little about efficiency, but thought 100% efficiency was hard to obtain.

I' m no math scholar and am probably comparing apples to oranges here.

Is the draw weight energy in pounds not a direct equal to the energy produced in ft/lbs??

I' m going out on a limb here and hoping this wasn' t a flat retarded question[&:]. I' m just wanting someone to set me straight on the issue.
