Default Arrnow length

A pro shop recently helped my shooting by moving my draw length from 31" to 28.5" . Now I need to shorten my aluminum arrows. I plan on using broadheads. The question: where should the end of the arrow fall in relation to the fist when fully drawn?

There is no set answer to that one, I cut mine so they extend 1/2 inch past the progs on my rest. It is personal preference, as long as they clear your bowhand with broadheads you are good to go.

What type of bow are you shooting? Does it have a cut out risor or is it an older bow?

The bow is a Hoyt Havoc that I just purchased new several weeks ago. It is a 2001 model.

About an inch is normal.

Make sure you are comfortable with the shorter length before you cut em all up.

its much harder to make them longer

I usually cut my arrows so that a fixed broadhead clears my knuckles by about 1/2 inch.

Hey rack- true that!!

I try to get my arrows to the rear of the riser where the broadhead would sit next to the riser at full draw.
