Default trap door help

I have one of the original trap door rests with the wide stainless prongs. Can someone tell me if you can spread these prongs or twist them open so they can hold the arrow without falling off at the slightest tilt?

I did it with mine. They bend easy with a pliers. I bent the prongs for the same reason you want to. That way if I twist/tip bow when hunting the arrow doesn' t fall off as easy.

I like it just for the fact that there is no string or cable. I think the new launcher would be better. The only thing I don' t like is the noise they make. I put a small accessory limb saver on and that quieted it down. Heard the new ones are supposed to be a lot quieter. It tuned easy and hasn' t failed me yet.

I believe a GKF prong will interchange with your trapdoor . I reversed one a cut and rounded it off to make a cocking lever for mine . Allso GKF has a veritey of launchers so you should be able to find one that suites you . I like the trapdoor rest but would not think of haveing it on a hunting bow for the reason you state .

Golden Key Futura , they make alot of diferant arrow rests . The" premier " model is the one I was reffering to , as the launcher blades will interchange with your trapdoor and I believe they have a wide launcher . Here is a link to their webpage http://www.goldenkeyarchery.com/ . Allso there is a member of this board by the name of GKFtech and he can answer any question you might have about launcher blades as they produce quite a variety .
