Default Question on homade target?

I made my own target out of feed sacks filled with rags. When i shoot it the arrows go in like 1 or 2 inches. Is this bad for it if the arrow stops so abrubtely. THanks-Sam

You are not hurting them at all. Several of my arrows (gold tip 5575) have hit 2X4' s, and after digging them out with a knife - no damage. How' s that for an abrupt stop with no damage!

Sounds like a very good and economical target to me....Your arrows should do just fine.......
