velocity change with draw weight change
Does anyone have any idea how much velocity you loose by dropping draw weight? For example if a bow shoots 300fps at 70lbs with a 350gr arrow, what should that same setup shoot if the draw weight were dropped to 65lbs? Didn't know if there was some rule of thumb or guesstimates about that.

There are guesstimates and rules of thumb... most often I have found that if ONLY draw weight drops... you'll dump about 1.5 fps/#. Example you gave I'd say you'd lose about 7-8 fps.
If you drop it enough though, you'll have to switch arrows... and if your ratio of draw weight to arrow weight stays the same... then so should your velocity.... which is why a 350gr at 70 will (or should) shoot the same speed as a 300gr at 60.

The Longevity of my shoulders
ruled on my draw weight, years ago, and never speed.
And I learned on the old fashion slow bows, so speed was never a factor of my going to faster and faster bows and arrows.
If I was so worried with the speed of my bow, the speed weight of my arrows, I would have stayed with a 30/06. Now that rifle's got a lot of speed.
