Default arrows for my new Z7

Just bought me a new Z7, 29" DL, 70#. I am thinking of shooting GT 5575 arrows. My arrows are 27.5" long with 100 gr tip. Does this combination have too little spine. I see on the Gold tip web site, with 27" arrows it recommends the 5575, the 28" it goes to the 7595. So I know I'm right at the border, and I prefer the lighter weight of the 5575 to gain a few more fps. Will my combination shoot the 5575s well or should I go to the 7595s and give up fps?

You might be able to get away with the 5575 but id rather have the 7595. Its always better to be a little stiff than a little weak. Ya the 7595s are heaiver but that will probably gain you some ke which is what you want. Speed isnt everything.

You never mentioned what draw weight you were shooting? I would guess that the GT's you have should be able to handle it at the 27.5" you have them cut down to.

I have to say that i am with you on this one. i would trade a few fps any day for better penetration. Especially if you are a big game hunter. I am an elk hunter and penetration means a lot to me.

I'll be hunting nothing larger than southeast whitetails, so I'm sure the 5575s in the upper 290s will be fast enough with enough penetration. (I'm shooting my current Beman 400s at 301 fps but they're about 1/2" short. What I'd like to know is will I have problems due to the weaker spine? Or will the 5575s shoot accurately.

Listen to what everyone is saying, go with the 7595's. If i figured everything right, your arrow will weigh about 390 grains. That will give you good speed and plenty of ke.

I am using Beman ICS Hunter 340's out of mine w/ Blazers @ 70# and 29" draw.
Still plenty fast enough, but a stiff enough spine for consistant flight and they hit HARD
