Default Adding tip weight?

I am currently shooting 28'' Maxima 250s with 100gr heads and 3 4'' feathers out of a 60lb 28'' draw Marquis. Would they still spine ok if I added 50grs to the tip.

50gr is too much. Its going to make you too weak spined for that setup. You can 25gr. Or cut your arrows to 27" then add the 50gr.

I agree but even at 27" and adding 50 grains it would be close. The Marquis seems to prefer a stiffer spine in my experience, but IMO if you can get them down to 27" you should be Ok adding 50 grains.

Thanks guys! I will have to see what I can do. I was thinking of just doing 25gr for now.
Would 2'' blazers make any difference? Also one more question. Do weight tubes stiffen arrow spine? Thanks again!

One solution is to use the gold tip wieght system. You can add wieght to front and back for added weight.

They say wieght tubes don't add spine, but I have not had the best of luck with em. And they are expensive IMO.

Thanks again! I will keep snooping and tinkering around to see what I can come up with.

Personally I Love Feathers! I really don't think any fletching compares in all the advantages you get from feathers, but..................

If I were to use Vanes the Blazers or QS Speedhunter ST's would be my choice
