Default Shooting LOW at 20...

OK...I finally went to sight in my new LX. I am running a Mathews Micro rest with a Matrix Sight. This is my problem...I have 5 pins...when I lower my top pin all the way I still shoot too low at 20 yards. If I lower my sight any more...then my fletching might hit my fiber optic tubes coming out the bottom of my sight.

My dealer is the one who set me up....I am guessing he had me pointing down a little then he marked for my peep and kisser.

Should I take the bow back to him and have him set my peep and kisser a little higher?

YES,i would bring it back but the it could be your arrow rest isn' t set to proper height or your string nock may be too high also--the shop that set you up should be glad to help you get it fixed.jmo.

It may also be that you use a very low peep site. I have heard of this problem with the low fiber optics and it will get worse when you add a broad head. If possible see if you can raise your peep.

If I raise my peep...will I also have to raise my knocking point? I also have a kisser button. This sucks...my dealer is a 30 dollar trip across the ferry and an hour ride. Now I' m gonna have to pay for the trip because he set me up shooting low...

No, you will not need to raise your nocking point, but it will make you raise your site.

For 30 bucks you can buy a good little cable bow press, and for a little more you can add a few tools. It is in your best interest to be able to do all these little things yourself. Then you can tweak and tune your bow to fit you and shoot for you the best it can.
Its really not all that hard and with the help from these guys and the easton tunning guide you can be well on your way to independence[8D]

I recommend the Complete Tuning Guide by Easton. It is in a PDF on their website at http://ww.eastonarchery.com

It is a very useful tool for any archer to have . . . and it' s FREE.

Sounds to me like you need to change to a lower anchor for that sight. Dropping the anchor down to under your jaw will force you to raise the peep which will also force you to raise the sight bracket and that will solve the problem. Of course, that brings the problem of finding another anchor that you can hit consistently.
