Default portable bow press

I'm still having trouble setting my string and cables and I'm tired of driving 1,5h everytime to the shop where I bought my bow.
Is there a portable bow press I could use to change my cable and string length ?

Frank.

It will work on the Airborne.

I got it when I had a Patriot and other Bowtech bows

I have used a Bowmaster for many years now even though I have a bench mounted press. Bowmaster will work on most bows, but I'd wait and see what Kanga comes up with.

Do you have access to a welder and drill press? You could make one in the style of the WWAG press. He is not making them anymore. I can snap a picture of mine.

if you could show me a pic, I could try and bother some friends to help make one

Default Homemade Bow Press

Frank,
Any backyard metal fabricator could make this in less than an hour. The angle was about 45 degrees. Let me know if you have further issues. I painted this one and gave it to a friend. I didn't paint the next one and it has not rusted with indoor use.

Here's what I did:

http://huntingnet.com/forum/technica...ml#post3127194

I made my own based on the Bowmender design. I used 1.25" x .25" steel bar with 0.5" holes drilled through. Use 0.5" bolts that are about 3" long and covered by rubber tubing. Added a quality rachet strap and it presses everything - split limb or otherwise.

that's what I was thinking of making myself, thx

I just need to find a ratchet that opens and closes at the same rate,
