Is there any reason to believe that the Blackknight Bowtech would be any more accurate than my Legacy? I understand it shoots faster and yardage estimates wouldn' t be a critical at shorter distances but other than that what do you think? Are double cam bows a hastle with timing......I have 2 dealers here and one says yes and one says no. Go figure? Thanks.
What hastel , winners choice strings took that away , timeing stays dead on now , all I can say it try it you' ll like it . I' ve owned both bows in the past and there is no comparison the Black Knite 2 is deadly accurate . I got rid of my legacy after 2 weeks , you' ll have to pry the BK2 from my dead fingers

conan, the BKII is every bit as accurate, if not moreso. The extra speed will be a big plus at 3D. You can also shoot a much heavier arrow as fast, or faster, than you are now (more momentum). Cam synch on dual cam bows is not the problem it once was. The added tuning options of a dual cam bow are also a plus. Both companies make fine bows, but I give the edge to BowTech at this point.

BOWTECH THERE IS NO EQUAL. JUST THE EQUALIZER.
Tuning a dual cam is no harder than tuning a single and is probably easier with the straight and level nock travel of the dually. Just work with one cable and leave the other alone. Either put in twists or take out twists to get the cams to hit the stops at the the same time. This usually only takes a few twists to get them in sync and once the cables and string are shot in, about 100 shots, everything usually stays put. One thing with a dual cam is that you can feel if it' s out of time and you' ll know when it' s time to do something about it. I' ve shot both my Duallys with an out of sync tune and accuracy dosen' t suffer much at all as long as you shoot off the wall. There is so much more you can do with a dual cam than a single to get it to fit your draw with the added advantage of shooting heavier arrows for hunting without loosing much speed. Shoot one and make sure of the draw weight you want before ordering, a 60 pounder has all the power you' ll ever need for hunting anything except maybe in Africa. Good luck on your choice
I went and shot the BKII yesterday and was impressed with it. I also shot the new Hoyt and it felt awesome too. I really liked the grip on the Hoyt and the BK' s grip seemed a little big. My dealer said Bowtech has a smaller grip option he thought. Is this true? I don' t see it in their catalog or on their web page.
I' m an accuracy nut.....currently when I' m on I' m putting 10 out of 10 arrows in a 4 1/2 inch circle at 45 yards. I want to get that down to 3" and I feel like a BKII or Hoyt might make a difference......maybe, maybe not. I guess I just want the most accurate equipment possible.
Conan if your an accuracy freak you need a BK2 , You may have been handed a 2002 model as their grip was somewhat larger that the 2003 models which are side plates , even with that grip it is the most accurate bow I have ever shot , not just a speed demond , its much more than that .

The BKII is as accurate as any in the right hands, just that the draw cycle isn' t to my likeing. I can shoot my LX or Legacy at about 10 pounds heavier draw weight with less effort. More fun to shoot = more shooting for me and that will improve my game. JMHO
