I had a D!cks giftcard I wasn't quite sure what to do with. I wanted to get a couple more arrows and I wanted to try out some Blazer vanes. I have been shooting Beman ICS Hunters. I found some at D!cks with blazers, and quess what, they were already cut for my length. Of course D!cks doesn't sell the epoxy for the inserts so I just picked some up from Home Depot. Got the inserts put in the other day and tried them out yesterday. I hadn't shot yet this year as I've been super busy. Shot a few groups but they weren't really grouping that well, but after a couple more groups and getting into a groove they started grouping real nice. I then tried with my practice Rage head, grouped right on with the field points. I then decided to try my Montec practice blades. Now last year I was having a problem getting to hit the target straight on. I had 3 1/2" feathers on my old arrows. With my new arrows and Blazers however, they were shooting great, going in perfectly straight and grouping the same as my field points as well. It's amazing that those little Blazers can steer that combo better than 3 1/2" feathers. I am shooting through a Wisker Biscuit and had no problems. I think next year I am going to switch to the Octane Hostage rest as that should give me a little more speed with no fletching contact with bristles. I still really like my Bear Instinct. After a couple more sessions I should be all dialed in.

try some of the Blazer X-2's with the w/b and be cheaper than the new rest! they are lower profile so should cut down on contact.I got some freebie X-2's and they stear the arrow great, supposed to be for target shooting but may test them with b/h to see how they do.
