Default Rest selection for hoyt magnatec

I have had a trophy ridge drop zone rest for a while and never used it and i was wondering if anyone knew if they work well on a hoyt magnatec xt 2000, i had a pse i was going to put it on but it was dry fired by the previous owner and had cracked limbs. I recived it for free with intentions of buying new limbs, but i came to find out that pse no longer make limbs for the baby g-force, so i picked up a magnatec for $100 and would like to know if it would be a good rest for that bow. Any info is appreciated, THANK YOU.

I would think that it would work. The only issue would be if it fits around the riser. Some were not long enough to do so. You will just have to try it and see if it clears the riser. Then you will have to see if it has enough adjustment to set the centershot. If you are not aware of what I am talking about here, I would suggest you take it to a local shop and have it put on. They won't charge much at all, especially if you pick up some silencers or other doo-dads you might need at the same time. They will have to tools to put it on right (if it works) and get it close to tuned on the spot. If they have an indoor range they may even help you finetune it so take a few arrows with you. Or better yet buy 3 while you are there.

If you do it yourself, remember to attach the cord to the downward pulling cable. It should be the one closest to the riser below where they (cables) cross.

Good Luck, that is a good rest when timed correctly, I hope it works out that you can use what you have.
