Default Help with Cable Slide!!!

I recently bought a 2007 diamond rapture and went out to shoot for the first time today and noticed the cable slide is missing. I was wondering if any aftermarket cable slide will work for this bow. The cable guard is farely short, so I am not sure if I need a specific cable slide. Anyone know anything? Thanks.

Default RE: Help with Cable Slide!!!

Sounds like you need a trip to your local archery shop. Most any slide should work, but sometimes you have to try a couple and see if you are getting enough fletching clearance. As for what fits the rod? They are all 3/8" diameter these days so that's not an issue. I would recommend that you look at and buy one of the Teflon ones, though. Just be sure and miter or round all the sharp corners where the cables pass through the slots. Cables last a whole lot longer this way.
