Default bow parts

whats the best way to get parts?...I got a bow from e bay and it worked out good...small problems I got to retap the hole that holds the rod that holds the strings to the right(not sure of the part name) the rods the wrong part too its from a different bow but it may work fine...I need a rest and reset up the peep and nock for shooting fingers will a archery shop be able to order replacement parts...a factory dealer is 80 miles from my house....as far as parts go for bows what do you guys do if you need a part...whats a good way to find a parts list for a bow? I checked out high country archery web and its for the newer bows..I'm waiting for a e-mail to ask on there fourm page...thanks ed...the draw lenght worked out fine

It all depends on the age of the bow. If it is relatively new they should be able to get parts. If I need parts I go to a Archery shop that carries my bow and order what I need. Some work may be required to be done at the shop though depending on the warranty on the bow.

dave thanks. its at trader jans arthery shop in fall river mass....they dought they can get the mod I need but there trying...ed

Getting parts for older bows can be a problem. Ebay as well as AT Classifieds are a good place to start if your local dealer can not help you.

dan, thanks...trader jan's said that a bowmaker only has to stock parts for 10 years after that they don't have to....not sure how true this is or generally how long a company stocks parts...but is something for people who are buying older bows to think about..
