Default Which spine arrow?

I am looking at FMJ and ACC and was wondering which ACC I could go with 27in arrow, 4in feathers, 100gr tips 28in draw and 56-58lbs out of a Guardian? I am not sure the poundage I am going to shoot yet. Also would FMJ 400 sound right if I went with them or would 500 be right? Thanks!

if your on the heavier side like say 58-60 lbs id go with a 400 shaft...if your on the lighter side a 500 might work but its kind of borderline and really close...and if you do have problems with spine on the 500s go with the 400 really depends a lot on what draw weight your gonna use

i think i would go with 400s if it were me...im just goin by the spine selector on the Easton website and 57 is kind of the borderline were it goes from 500s to 400s and id rather shoot too stiff than too weak

I'm on the "unconventional side," but why are you wanting such a short arrow??? If you want that 27" arrow, then you're gonna need to drop a little weight on the tip. Really, the better "dynamic spine" is gonna be with a little longer arrow, and that means you should be looking at something 28-28.5" maybe even 29" long. If you like the ACC's, a 28.5" 3-39 with a 100gr tip will work for the spine, but your FOC is a little low, better would be an ACC 2-49, with a 125gr tip, giving you a 12.25% FOC, with a nearly perfect spine, and an arrow weight of 365-370gr.

Thank You very much! I will look into a longer arrow I guess I don't know why I was looking at shortening my arrow.

Luke it seems like pretty much EVERYONE wants to shoot a SHORT arrow when in essence with Carbons, you can still have a relatively light to medium weight arrow leaving a little length on it. Part of the reason Crossbows just aren't ever going to be as accurate as compounds is because they use such a short stiff shaft that doesn't fly nearly as well as a longer softer spined arrow will.

I do like the ACC but I am looking at the Axis arrows and as well. I am thinking Axis in-fused 400s cut at 28'',100gr tips,4'' feathers.

luke/r I shoot a very similar setup to yours. I also shoot 27" arrows with Great results. The 400's should fill the bill nicely. I have shot both 100 grain and 125 grain heads with great flight out of 60# bows.
