Default QAD Fall Away Rest Question?

I sold my current bow to a friend and took off the sight and rest to put on my new bow. I have a QAD fall away rest and for whatever reason I cut the end of the string that pulls up the rest and that attaches to the bow string to get it out of the string. I just cut off the very end of the string (the hard flat part)but realized that I probably should not have done that after I already did. The string is still intact but was wondering if i can melt another end on the string or can they do that at the bowshop? I looked on the QAD website and you can't purchase replacement strings. I would hate to have to scrap the rest. Any help would be appreciated.

Default RE: QAD Fall Away Rest Question?

You won't have to scrap it because of the control rope. Just buy some loop material like you would use for a string loop. You can find it at any archery shop or online distributor and I'm sure you could find it on Ebay. Any bowshop can make it work on your new bow (I hope).
