Default 82nd/101st Shooters

I made a post like this on the bowhunting page but wanted to post it here as well in hopes of perhaps gaining a little more info from those that have not seen it yet. I am considering buying an 101st or 82nd Airborne. I have only shot the 82nd a couple of shots and it was not set up for me. That was a year ago so I do not remember that much about the bow. The info I am looking for is a comparison between the two such as speeds, forgiveness and such. So for those of you that have shot the both any input would be appreciated.

Thank you

Ed

I shoot an 82nd. I originally wanted the 101 but ended up with the 82. The 101 I shot had a noticeable twang on release, every time I shot the bow, the 82nd didn't. Draw cycle was essentially the same. I used to shoot a BK II so the brace didn't bother me. The extra speed along with the quieter bow, at least out of the two I shot made my decision. I haven't had any forgiveness issues with the 82nd. The bow shoots very well and fast.

I owned both and while they are both nice bows. IMHO the 82nd is the better choice for many. It is quieter, faster, and every bit as shootable.

I know you bought one already Ed. Enjoy!! If I can help youany moredon't hesitate to call.

Thanks Dan. I feel pretty good about my decision. When my 101st arrives I will tinker with it for a while and that will tell the story. I have sold my back up bow so I will see which one takes the back seat, Allegiance or the 101st.

I shot both, and I agree it's a bit of a wash between the two. I like any extra BH I can get, so I opted for the 101st. I would like some more time to shoot the 82nd again, though to really compare. Either way, you can't go wrong.
