What pound pull on your bows and also, compound or recurve?

I would say it depends on where and what you are hunting. I had a girl friend who took many whitetail with her 45lb bow. All her shots ranged 10 to 40 yards. I mainly shoot whitetail and I have my compound set at 65. My furthest shot would be 35 to 40 yards. I fish with my recurve and it stacks at my draw around 55lb. I do nothing else but fish and occasionally shoot rabbits with my recurve so I might not be a good one to ask.

Compound- 67 lbs
Recurve- 55 lbs.
