Default I must be confused!!!!

I have recently decide to purchase a new stabilizer. Now, I have been shooting alot of 3D tournaments with a Mathews Legacy. I only have short doinker screwed in the back of the riser. I think it balances better with the parrallel limb design. Anyway, I have been looking around at the stabilizers offered and I am a littel confused. It seems all the stabilizers today are not sold to " stabilize" . They seem more like vibration dampeners to me. I thought the added mass of a stabilizer helped resist movement.

With a 7 inch stabilizer only weighing 9 oz, how much stabilizing can that do?

Am I missing something or does this trend seem like a move away from the traditional role of the stabilizer?

Default RE: I must be confused!!!!

Honestly, I don' t think that they are needed nearly as much with the newer more well balanced bows.
