Default New Rest?

I am thinking of changing the rest on my 2008 General.

I am thinking Trophy Taker X-treme FC or the Limbdriver?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

u might have a problem trying to get the LD. when i tried to get one for the admiral vapor trails said it would not work properly. then he was trying to tell me a way he had to do it on his general. using 3m tape. so i am pretty sure the ld will not work with ur general . they are working on a new bracket.

There are quite a few rests that will work on your bow, but I believe Bloominghunter2 is correct. The Limbdriver won't work because of the lack of limb movement.

If I were you, I'd wait until the January ATA show is here. There are always new rests and such being debuted and you might just find something that catches your eye.

I put the Trophy Taker X-treme on this year (top slot load), love it! It's fail proof, your arrow simply cannot fall off, yet does not block the sight window--you never even think about it once you put it on.

Just get a Trophy Taker and be done with it. It's the best rest going right now.

Crimson Talon is coming out with a new rest that is a hybrid between a hostage style rest and a drop away. Kinda neat. Probably see it after ATA show.

The LD will not work unless their are some modifications done during the setup. Its a shame that they havent gotten the bracket out a little faster for the General/Admiral (or any short limb travel bow.) b/c they are missing some sales. I personally like the Trophy Taker.
