In theory,yes,when your rest is behind the pivot point,it is less forgiving BUT,there are other factors to forgiveness as well.A rest that is soft as opposed to stiff will be more forgiving and the longer a rest stays in contact with the shaft,the more forgiving as well.This provides guidance and stability.
The limb driver is one of the best on the market for this right now as far as hunting rest go but I will give the whammy a slight edge over it.The new mathews rest should also be very good if it works as well as I think it will BUT,I have not held one or even seen one up close to know for sure.
