Default rECOMMENDATIONS FOR STABILIZER AND SIGHT.

I just purchased a new bow for myself. I bought a 2007 PSE Mach X.Brand new never shot. My old bow was a Bear I bought in 1985. Was still killing deer, so I had a hard time changing. I never really kept up with trends. Just got into forum hunting and looking at equipment. Boy there's alot of stuff out there, both good and bad. I am going to buy an Alpine Soft-Loc quiver, but don't know what to consider for a sight, stabilizer, and rest. My old Bear had the plastic "wing" rest and a Cobra 4 pin sight (the old school kind). I have to watch my budget. I have about $250.00 to $200.00 to set up the PSE. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Bow PSE Mach X
29" draw
65 lb draw
7-1/4 Brace

I can only tell you what I selected personally after trying a lot of different componets. I can wholeheartedly reccomend the QAD dropaway rest as it performs flawlessly. It's a full capture type (meaning the arrow cannot fall off rest no matter what angle you are),you can cock it up ahead of time,it is easily installed/adjusted/tuned/timed,will only drop upon actual firing of the bow-not on letdown, offers full fletching clearance, and features anti-bounce-meaning it won't bounce back up after dropping to smack arrow, and is quiet(in pro version).
I also use alpine soft-loc quiver ALL the time. While there are SOOO many top quality sights on the market,I reccomend steel pins (not over 3 for me),TONS of fiber optic wrapping to ensure brightness,a round outside pin guard to align with peep, and small pins/pin shaft for less sight blockage of game. I chose trophy ridge micro matrex with .019 pins. I'm not even going to attempt to reccomend a stabilizer as so many have came out since I've had a chance(and the money) to test all the new ones. I'm still using my old sims stabilizer.

I've been through a lot of sights lately and the best I've found so far is the Cobra DRM.
Stabilizer: Simms S-Coil, inexpensive, compact, efficient.

I swear by Viper sights. Excellent prooduct, great pin size selection so you can customize it how you want it and very rugged. As far as stabilizers are concerned, anything from simms or fuse will do you just fine. Good luck with your new bow!
