Default arrow stiffness

Hey I was wondering if these arrows were sufficient for my setup? I shoot a hoyt havoctec set on 68 pounds, and 27 inch draw. I am shooting 26.5 inch carbon express 300' s with 100 grain tips, and 4 inch right helical feathers. Thanks for any help.

Default RE: arrow stiffness

The CX 300' s are considered on the lighter side of carbons @ 8 to 8.5 grains per inch. So depending on what your looking to do with your carbons depends on whether they are ok or not. Obviously you get a faster, flattery trajectory of flight with lighter grains. Which some like for long shots on certain types of game, and 3D competitions. But on the down side that means less kinetic energy for penetration, and often more bow noise. The arrow can be used for target or hunting, and I don' t see a problem with your setup on that arrow. You just have to decide if thats ok for what you want to do!

Hunterman02, according to the CX arrow chart you should be using CX200 with a 26.5" arrow at 68 pounds. The weight on the 300' s is approx 8 grain per inch. 200' s is approx 7 grain per inch.
