Default vane contact with rest

What type of spray are people using to spray on their vanes to see if there is contact with the rest?

I have used two different types of methods. First is the foot powder spray method. The second is placing some lipstick (don' t tell my wife when she asks where her favorite lipstick is), on the tips of the vanes. I usually lean toward the later method though.

I have used foot powder spray in the past, seems to work well. Not bold enough to use my wifes lipstick. She gives me enough head aches during hunting season.

Try liquid paper. You know, White out. The stuff we use to use often when we had typewriters.

Talking about vane contact, my wife was having some weird contact with her rest. The cock vane that was pointing down was getting beat up pretty good and there was residue on the inside edge of an area on the rest about 90 degees from where it should be. The vanes on her arrows are very soft and flexible and it looks like they are flexing too much and curling over before they reach the rest. My vanes are stiffer and with the same rest I' m getting no contact so I' m buying stiffer vanes in the future.
