so i'm wondering people think of muzzys?? i'm thinking a lighter grain on maybe less than 100gr. i'm shoot a 40 draw weight bow. i have easton carbon e-tec arrows.

ever give any consideration to Sonic Heads? or nap thunderheads? I would stick with 100 grains, Gotta keep some kinetic energy.
i would recommend a cut on contact head if you can find one. the montec G5. etc

If you're only shooting a 40 pound bow,I wouldn't reccomend muzzys. Yes,they are great heads and have taken countless game BUT with only 40 pounds,you need a cut on contact broadhead. In all my testing (game as well as testing mediums) of different heads,I really like the razorcaps. They fly extremely well,are welded together so there's NO possibility of losing/breaking/bending blades,and the gradual angle of the blades seem to penetrate better than heads that angle out sharply and are shorter. With only 40 pounds to work with,you need everything on your side that you can get. I reccomend that you stick to close range shots and wait for ideally positioned shots-ie quartering away slightly and try to double lung it.
I'm confused,in your signiture you list a 70 pound bow as well as a 40 pound bow. If you can shoot more poundage WHY limit yourself to 40 pounds?
I'm confident you have a good reason.

yes i do have good reason. i just can't pull it back. i have had several injuries that allow my shoulder to cause sharp pain when pulling to much weight. like 50 pounds is to much. but i can bench press a-lot of weight. i guess that it is just the muscles being used. idk?? but that is my reason. i was using some off brand broadhead's that were 100gr. a freind recommend them and gave me some new in the box. i loved em. but i can't find the same ones back.

Thought Muzzy made 100 grain Phantoms and they're cut on contact!Look at what tradional archers are shooting for arrow weight...600 grain arrows and they are shooting pretty light d/w! Give up draw weight and you have to replace it with penetration.Light arrows and draw weight to match may make for fast but not really effiecent at taking game as a heavy projectile going through a shoulder!Just my 2 cents.

Definitely go with a 2 blade cut on contact like a magnus stinger or muzzy phantom. Like also said before a heavier arrow would help with penetration.

Magnus stingers or Snuffers...they fly true and are sharp right out of the pack...

i'm shoot a hoyt banshee with a 29inch draw lenght and it is maxed out. so what arrow type of arrow should i use?? carbon, aluminum, graphite? and how much weight and how should they be?? and what graind broadhead should i get. i'll either get the muzzy phantom or the magnus snuffers or stingers.
