Default what arrows should i get?

I will be getting my first bow (browning rage) and I'm wondering what kind of arrows I should get. I dont want really expensive ones, but ones that will still shoot good. I will most likely take up bowhunting, so I need ones that can be used for that aswell as target shooting. What do yall recommend?

I know a lot of people will disagree but for the longest lasting, durable arrows you can get,buy the best carbon arrows you can get with helical fletching. The reason I reccomend the best carbons is you can shoot them long after aluminum arrows will bend or break. Also, using top quality carbons will enable you to shoot a LOT better than cheap carbons. Why handicap yourself and get discourged by using inferior equipment? Helical twist fletching-wether feathers or vanes, will do the best job of stabilizing the arrow.

Get some Beman's not real expensive and you can get them at Academy for about 35-40 a half dozen.I sling some Beman Ventures around the yard and hunt withthe ICS Hunters that have been sized and cut for my d/w and d/l.The Venture line is not bad...I have robin hooded about 3 of them so they shoot pretty true or I'm real lucky.

Probably good advise here.

If alum arrows are all you can afford - Don't fret, they work just fine.

If this is your first bow, you might want to start with Alum for the first doz or so.

Seems to me the new guys loose more arrows then they break/bend.

Good Luck
