Default What do you think I should be able to get for these 2 bows??

I have an '08 Pearson Z-32, recieved in March, that is in pretty nice shape, with only the usual minor scratches from hunting with it this spring. I was wondering what you guys though I could get out of it on a trade, approximately. It is a $680 bow new.
I also have an '04 Hoyt ViperTec that is in almost perfect condition other than a scratch on the top limb from hanging it on a EZ Hanger. What do you think it would be worth on a trade???
I am hoping to trade them both on a General if I don't have to pay too much on the difference. I am just a broke college student!!!!

Thanks alot,
Pheasantfanatic

You could probably cover about half the cost of the General, maybe a little more. Just a guess, it's really hard to say.

As you probably already know, used bows don't hold their value very well. The Pearson might be worth $350 to 400, and the older Hoyt maybe $250. You might do better trying to sell your bows right now on e-bay or AT Classifieds; then try to buy an 08 General in about three months from the same venues. Might have a chance of almost breaking even in that scenario. Most bow dealers don't even take in trades. Those that do are trying to "buy low, sell high".

Might try your local archery store too, they might let you leave it there and sell it on cosignement. Just a thought.
