Installing a peep sight ???

I just bought a genesis bow for the wife and daughter and was going to install a peep sight. Now I know I need that string splitter to instal this, but do I need to compress the limbs to do this??

If you dont have a press then just back the limbs bolts out some to take some of the pressure off the string.

Just dont back them all the way out
