My field points will not go into an insert on one of my arrows. The point goes in about 1/8 inch and then it completely stops. No force could keep it moving. I think there might be dirt or sand stuck in there. I have carbon arrows with epoxied inserts. Is there a way I can replace the insert without damaging the arrow? Can I clean out the insert some way? Thanks for your help.
It' s probably the backwards way of doing it, but take one of your field points
and grind it down, carefully so you don' t mess up the threads, just enough so
it screws in all the way. Put some bow string wax on the threads so it doesn' t
loosen up.

I keep a thread tap in my archery box so I can chase the threads when I have problems screwing in my field points or broadheads also it is a good idea to use antisieze compound on the threads this will prevent the therads from galding up.
Aluminum is especially bad about gading easily.
