Default New to bow hunting

Hey everyone. This will be my first year bow hunting. I have a question. IM shootg a Bear bow. Im not sure which model. It has a 60# and27" draw. Im shooting Beman ICS Hunter arrows with 100 grain broadheads. What would be my distance limit on my shots? Also can you experienced hunters give me pointers on hunting with a bow?

I will suggest you keep your shots at 20 yards and under seeing this is your first year bow hunting.

Plus practice practice practice

Be sure your bow is a fit for draw and weight. Practice and actual shooting will dedicate your range. Be sure to practice with broad heads not just field points.
Form is more important then where the arrow hits until you have it right.

Ask some one who is experienced or go to an archery shop for guidance. If you have a video camera have someone tape you so you can view your form.

As for hunting.... scout but do not expose yourself in advance to the area you plan to hunt leaving your scent behind. Read as much as you can and talk to those who have experience in archery hunting.

twenty yards and under imo until you learn the bow hunting game. its totally different, and the skill to let the animals get into shooting distance is something that takes time. sometimes its more impressive to let the animal get in super close than it is to take a far shot.

Practice at 30. If you can shoot consistant groups at 30 yds, you can hit the spot at 20, 9 outof 10 times.
