Default Fletching Contact with QAD

I recently bought a QAD hunter drop away for my bow. After shooting it a few times I noticed that I am getting some contact with my fletching and the drop away. I measured and I should have enough clearance, so my bow must be kicking knock low or something. What can I do to correct this? I am shooting a Parker Buck Hunter with a 29" draw at 55 lbs and using Parker's old Super Carbon Magnum Arrows 55-70 (The lighter of the two sizes). I've also changed tothe higher rest.Any help is appreciated since I can't figure out how to correct it.[/align]

it's hard to say what your issue is. It could be how the rest was installed or setup, tuning issues or a problem with something else.

Go to the QAD web site. They have a setup guide video. If you bought it new it should have dvd with it. If not the wed site has the same setup guide. I bought the qad hunter and it works great.

You may need to use the other launcher they provided.
I had to switch mine on my Hoyt Vectrix.

look at the string that is connected to your cable. I had to move mine down 1/8th inch to get the launcher to drop. I could actually see the back end of my arrows fly high and too the right. Give that a shot and see if it helps

Try switching to Blazer vanes. Since they are shorter, the rest should be more flat when your passing that point. That extra couple of inches helps.

I also had to adjust my string that pulls the rest back. that attaches to the cable.. If its not tight enough then your rest will not fall quickly enough... It fixed my contact problem..

Blazers are also higher profile which can create problems with clearance. QAD are not the easiest to get timed especially if you aren't familar with them, and sometimes they can still be a PIA.

That's why I prefer the Limb Driver.

Another thing to look at is how far forward (close in to the riser) the rest is mounted. Get it as far forward as possible.
