Default Correcting my brace height

All right, here is my problem...My axle to axle length is good, but my brace height is short. I have a Diamond Marquis that should have a 7" brace height. Mine currently measures a little over 6.75". I have two questions...
1) How would this effect my bow?
2) How do you correctly fix it?

Default RE: Correcting my brace height

Chances are it is right where it should be.Those brace heights and a-a measurements are for STANDARD configurations and to the best of my knowledge, they are taken on a 70# bow bottomed out at 70# and a 30" draw bow set at 30".

You are probably right where you should be and a quick call to the manufactuer could probably get the exact measurement you should be at your configuration.

Default RE: Correcting my brace height

TFOX, how would the shorter brace height effect my bow? I the a2a is on the poundage should be correct...? Right? But if the brace height is off what does it effect...? Draw length? How would both of these effect speed? I don't know, I'm just trying to get an idea as to what might be going on. The reason I ask is I feel like I'm not getting the speed I should out of my Marquis. I'm shooting a 351 gr arrow at 281 fps. (Draw 28" with a g5 meta peep, and a string loop) I just feel like I should be shooting a little faster than that. Maybe not.

If the brace is off then chances are that so will the draw length, poundage and speed.

You are definately below the speed you should be if all your numbers are correct.
