Australia, where the biggest decision of the day is which of 9 deer species do I hunt. There are no seasons, no bag limits, and thousands of big game animals to hunt.
Come and enjoy paradise!

neither. 4 blades are best b/c I think they cut easier and have more balance in flight. Just my 2 cents

There is a link in a discussion on Momentum vs Kinetic Energy which is a good read and they discuss broadheads slightly in there. Basically you lose mechanical advantage the more blades you have, but you will have more of a wind shear with less blades. Read the article and find a balance, I believe 3 will be the best, thats why most broadheads are sold that way.

I prefer 4 blades, more tissue damage and they cut more of a hole!

I prefer a 2 blade COC head one that has thick tough blades like .040 and single bevel for increased sharpness and bone busting ability

3 blades give you more of a chance of hitting vitals if your shot is a little off. Just my $.02

It's all about personal preference. Each has advantages but more important is the overall quality and construction, not the number of blades.

I honestly do not think it really matters. A good shot made on a broadside deer or slightly quartering away will result in a kill with just about any broadhead out there. I never understood why the decision is so hard for people to make.

I've bowkilled several deer; I've never used a two blade head and don't plan to.
I've had weak blood trails with 3 blade 1 3/16'' heads, no way do I want less tissue damage.
