Default Question about Hoyt Accuwheel.....

I' m thinking of putting the accuwheel on my ProTec. I currently have the versa cam on and I' m wondering if the accuwheel would be a more forgiving cam. Thanks for any info.

Default RE: Question about Hoyt Accuwheel.....

Definitely more forgiving. The Versacam is considered a hard cam because of its draw cycle and, subsequently, the amount of energy it helps to store. The Accuwheel is considered either a round wheel or energy wheel and offers a much smoother draw cycle than the Versacam. About the only complaint that I have heard about it is that the backwall can be a little soft at times.

Hope this helps.

Accuwheels are very forgiving but they ain' t just a little soft. They' re VERY soft on the back wall. Like drawing into a sponge. Accuwheels are my favorite cam for fingers shooting, but I' d rather have Command Cams or the new Cam 1/2 for release shooting.
